The Swiss Federal Department of Finance has issued a press release announcing that on August 12, 2015 the Swiss Federal Council adopted the dispatch concerning a protocol of amendment to the double taxation agreement as concluded between Switzerland and Italy for the attention of Parliament.

The Protocol was signed by Switzerland and Italy on February 23, 2015. At the same date both countries also agreed on a Roadmap on the Way Forward in Fiscal and Financial Issues.

With respect to the roadmap the press release states that work on the implementation and detailed specification of the roadmap is currently under way.
