A press release announcing that Malta and Curaçao signed a DTA was published on the website of the Maltese Ministry for Finance on November 18, 2015. According to the press release on November 18, 2015Malta and Curaçao signed a convention for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.

 

The press release furthermore states that the agreement had already been initialed on October 17, 2013 and that it will enter into force on January 1, 2016.

 

Unfortunately we have not been able to locate the text of the recently signed DTA yet and therefore we have not been able to analyze it. We will make this analysis as soon as we have been able to locate the text of the DTA.
