On July 2, 2015 the OECD announced that on July 13 and July 14, 2015 during the Third UN Conference on Financing for Development, which will take place in Addis Ababa, 3 so-called “High-Level Tax Events” will be organized. These High-Level Tax Events will last one and a half hours each.

On July 13, 2015 the session for TAX INSPECTORS WITHOUT BORDERS will take place from 18:15 to 19:45. According to the OECD this session will be the official launch of the Tax Inspectors Without Borders (TIWB) initiative and the TIWB-partnership between the OECD and UNDP for the execution of the programme.

 

On July 14, 2015 the session on Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes will take place from 13:15 to 14:45. According to the OECD following dramatic improvements in international tax transparency over the last 5 years, the tools and insights needed to enhance transparency and tackle international tax evasion are now available to all, including the smallest and least developed countries. The challenge now is to put them into use. This session aims to raise awareness of the importance for developing countries of seizing the opportunity that now exists to benefit from these improvements in international tax transparency.

 

On July 14, 2015 the session on Mobilising domestic resources through tackling BEPS will take place from 18:15 to 19:45. According to the OECD this event, organized by the OECD in partnership with UN-DESA, aims at raising awareness on the impact of BEPS on developing countries and how the OECD/G20 BEPS Project is tackling BEPS as a collective international effort.
