During a press conference at the end of the ECOFIN meeting, the Dutch Minister of Finance announced that the EU countries have still not been able to come to a final agreement on an EU Anti Tax Avoidance Directive.

According to the Dutch Minister of Finance the EU countries are close to coming to a final agreement on such a Directive. There seems to be however one issue (The Dutch Minister of finance did not mention which one) that is still playing and for which Belgium has asked for additional time in order to be able to determine its position.

The Dutch Minister stated that Belgium has been given additional time until midnight next Monday (June 20, 2016). The Dutch Minister of Finance expressed his hopes that the 28 EU countries will be able to come to a final conclusion coming Monday.
